Pierce1883watchcompanywasfoundedbyLeonLevyFreresandhisbrothers.Asforeverycompanyfounder,itwasveryimportantforthemtogainlove,towinrecognitionandtoestablishareputationasaproducersofpremiumqualitywatches.Itshouldbementioned,thatactuallythefoundersofthewatchbrandhavemanagednotonlytomakeanameforthemselves,butalsotoobtaintherecognitionofmanywatchconnoisseurs.Butintheyearof Piercefoundation,thewatchmarketwasnotsorichofvariousmodelsasitisnow.Atthattime,chronographswerenotsopopular,watcheswerenotwaterresistantandtheautomaticmovementswerehousedinthewatchcasesextremelyseldom.Piercecompanybegantodevelopandreleasethewristwatchesaswellaspocketchronographs.Forthewatchproductionthebrothersusedonlyhighqualitymaterials.Thebestwatcakers,workinginPiercecompany,createdsmallmasterpieces,thatwontheheartsofmanywatchconnoisseurs.

皮尔斯公司的历史始于1883年。该品牌成立于瑞士比尔-它是瑞士制表业的中心之一，在那里建立了许多着名的钟表公司。作为精英的皮尔斯公司创始人选择了这个很适合手表制作的地方，因为比尔长期以来一直是1700多名钟表制造商的工作场所。皮尔斯1883手表公司由利昂.莱维.弗里尔和他的兄弟创立。对于每一位公司创始人来说，获得消费者喜爱，赢得认可和建立腕表制造商的声誉对他们来说非常重要。值得一提的是，事实上皮尔斯手表品牌的创始人不仅为自己创造了名声，而且获得了许多钟表的认可。但是在皮尔斯手表成立的那个年代，手表市场并不像现在这样富有各种型号款式。当时，计秒表并不那么受欢迎，手表也都不防水，自动机芯手表更是少见。皮尔斯公司开始开发和发布腕表以及袖珍计时秒表。对于手表制作，兄弟俩更是只使用高质量的材料。在当时皮尔斯公司不错的制表师傅创造的这一小型杰作，赢得了许多钟表的心。

因为Pierce是π的欧洲读音，为了适应大众对π的读音，决定改名为PAI。
